FOR TODAY’S viewing party courtesy of our friends from GMA Network, we are not allowed to use Miss Philippines’ sash as we are all rooting for Rachel Peters. So I’m left with no choice but to bet for Miss USA for obvious reasons, one of them is home court advantage.

After watching the preliminary competition however, it is crystal clear that Miss Venezuela Keysi Sayago is the girl to beat. Depending on her performance during the private interview, the girl could just easily snatch the crown.

It is only the Philippines’ bet and Miss Panama Laura De Sanctis that could match with her graceful and elegant performance on stage. In our mock scoring, Keysi got a score of 28 points out of 30 while Rachel and Laura tied at number 2 with 27 points.

Miss Universe Venezuela 2017 Keysi Sayago
The performance of the beautiful Keysi Sayago of Venezuela during the preliminaries made us believe that she is in for revenge after Mariam Habach failed to enter the semis last year.
Rachel Peters Miss Universe 2017
Rachel Peters of the Philippines continues to stand out as she tries to bring home the fourth Miss Universe crown for the pageant crazy Filipinos, including this writer.
Miss Universe 2017 Panama Laura De Sanctis
Panama is mostly underrated but for this blogger, Laura De Sanctis is simply beautiful and stunning to ignore. Given a chance at the semis, she will definitely land a spot in the Top 6.

Following them are Nicaragua’s Berenice Quezada and USA’s Kára McCullough tied with 26.5 points. These ladies are to watch out for.

Trending ladies, Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Thailand Maria Poonlertlarp are among the prettiest contestants but they lack stage presence, especially Nel-Peters. Maria on the other hand is gorgeous in that pretty gown. They are a bit overrated but they did well.

Below is the final list of the ladies whom we think will make it to the semi-finals, considering only their performance during the prelims. Take note that Miss Universe organization interviewed all these ladies and they themselves chose who the lucky girls who would advance to the next round would be. Consider this list as our annual tradition that we cannot get rid of until now.
