BOHOL IS SYNONYMOUS to the world-renowned Chocolate Hills and the big-eyed tarsiers but unknown to many, the province is also home to a long list of white sand beaches waiting to be discovered.
So the next time you think of visiting Bohol, make sure that you are into some beach hopping too. Don’t worry, we did your assignment for you. Here is the list of Bohol beaches that you must not miss:
Panglao Island
Panglao is one of the several big islands that are separated from mainland Bohol. The other islands that are most likely keeping untouched beaches are Cabilao, Lapinin, and Mahanay. Zooming in to Panglao Island however, you would find the Alona Beach (photo below) that you’d easily fall in love with.

The plain sight of coconut trees, traditional huts and the vast blue and green seawater at Alona Beach is enough to calm a weary soul.
The other beaches in Panglao are Bikini Beach, Dumaloan Beach, Danao Beach, Doljo Beach, and Momo Beach. Surely, a few days stay in Panglao Island alone won’t be enough to enjoy all the activities in each beach.
Panglao is home to resorts of various types: it is as easy to find budget-friendly ones as that of the well-marketed luxurious resorts that offer first-class amenities.
Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is one of the most popular resorts in the whole of Bohol. It features a large outdoor pool and boasts of its modern bungalows and rooms. If you are to stay there, a shuttle service to Tagbilaran Airport is provided for free.

One of the enjoyable activities in Bikini Beach is kayaking while having a view of the majestic rock formations and lush forest on top of them.

Mainland Bohol
Bohol’s mainland is also dotted with numerous beaches. Anda Beach, Bugnao Beach, Duero Beach, Canuba Beach, Imelda Beach, Clarin Beach, Santa Fe Beach, Laya Beach, Kain-git Beach, and Lintuan Beach. If you want to veer away from convenience and want to try a traveler kind of experience, you can go to Dapdap Beach Resort in Anda Beach and spoil yourself with the untouched beauty of the place.

While Pungtud Island is such a sight to behold when viewed from the air (see featured photo above), its long stretch of white sand bar is as just stunning to serve as your next profile picture’s back drop. But who would need just that when you can actually enjoy swimming in the waters surrounding it like it’s a dream come true?
If you’re planning to spend several days of vacation to isolate yourself from the crowd and noise, Pungtud Island is the perfect place for you. Its breathtaking picturesque view won’t only calm your mind, it’s the perfect place to reflect on the recent happenings in your life as well. Make sure to include Bohol in your list of places to visit this coming 2017! See you there the soonest, my friends!
