THOUGH SHE HAS been very vocal about it, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reiterated on ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ on Sunday, April 2 she wanna play the Filipina Superhero, ‘Darna.’

Wurtzbach and controversial boyfriend, race car driver Marlon Stockinger are tonight’s guests on the Sunday late night show on ABS-CBN. The question was raised by Vice Ganda saying former Miss Universe candidate from Israel, Gal Gadot plays the role of ‘Wonder Woman’ in a soon to be released Hollywood movie.

“Siyempre gusto ko,” Pia said. She then replaced the usual “Pia Wurtzbach, Philippines” line used in pageants with “Pia Wurtzbach, Darna!” In the Mars Ravelo’s comics superhero, the character of Narda shouts “Darna” when she wants to transform into the sexy costumed Superhero.

She managed to snatch the third Miss Universe crown for the Philippines. She even won the heart of international car racer Marlon Stockinger. Will Pia Wurtzbach win the role of Darna this time?

ABS-CBN is yet to release the name of the actress that would replace actress Angel Locsin to portray the role of this much-loved Filipina superhero. However, our insider said the role will be given to a favorite Kapamilya star, whose name we will reveal in our next ‘Darna’ post.

It can be recalled that Angel needed to give up the role for another actress as she can no longer do the physical acts of being one.
