NOW IS THE TIME of the year again when we are privileged to judge the contestants of the annual Binibining Pilipinas search — at least at the comfort of our abode.
We’ve been doing this as a tradition, and almost always, we got our predictions right. But given the tight schedule this year, we came far behind schedule, so we did some sprint today to give you our list of most favorite to win the six crowns for the 2016 edition of Binibining Pilipinas.
To set things straight, we only have 10 names to choose from despite a lot of beauties to consider this year. Standards have just gone definitely higher considering the successful win of our very own Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who would be crowning her successor, Miss Universe Philippines 2015.
Losing our ultimate favorite, Kim Ross delos Santos whom we believe could give a back-to-back win for the Philippines didn’t help at all. She’s the prettiest, and among the tallest ladies in this batch, so her being disqualified due to a sexy photo shoot was a huge loss for the country. Of course, we do not discount the power within the 40 ladies vying for the titles to wear the sash of the Philippines for international competition, and things could change in our favors, right?
If we have the power of BPCI (Binibining Pilipinas Charity, Inc.) who would choose the winners based on winnability in six international competitions under its belt, our winners would be chosen from among these ladies:
Their placements would be based of course in their performance tonight, and this would include a lot of things to consider, among them beauty, intellect, personality, and dedication to win.
The most popular choose for the Miss Universe Philippines 2016 crown would be the returnee, Kylie Versosa. She’s the lady the netizens wanna win but she has a lot to prove tonight. I won’t mind her winning the crown for she definitely could pull it off given the training she’d undergo after tonight. But what’s important is the gems she has in her right not that she has to put to her advantage. Beauty, body, and intellect-wise, I am giving it to Kylie. If not Miss Universe, she should be sent to either Miss International, and get the crown Janicel Lubina failed to bring home last year. But I think chances for Kylie is better with Miss Supranational. She should be able to get that second crown for the Philippines first brought home by Mutya Datul.
My second option for Miss Universe Philippines 2016 is Nicole Cordoves. She’s like Shamcey Supsup (Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner-Up) for me. Starting almost unnoticed only to win the most prestigious title in the Bb. Pilipinas 2011 edition. Cordoves is very elegant and beautiful as she hits the stage. She was very regal in that National Costume competition, and came stronger the days after. Her possible win tonight wouldn’t be a surprise at all. If not for Miss Universe, either Supranational or Intercontinental would be best fit for her kind of beauty.
Maria Maxine Medina
Maria Maxine Medina‘s beauty has started capturing the pageant fans. She could pull a surprise tonight to win the sash for the Miss Universe pageant but I’d be contented giving her any of the other titles.
Her performance this year made Nichole Manalo a beauty to consider for the Miss Universe Philippines crown but given the recent format change in the international competition, she might need a lot of training in order for the Philippines to place. So that in consideration, even her physical improvement might not give her a chance for the local crown. However, Nichole’s chances for the other crowns is high for whether we like it or not, hers is a beauty worthy of the crown. A Miss Supranational or Miss Globe maybe? Why not?
Maria Gigante easily made it to our Top 6 of ladies most likely to win. Her Asian beauty coupled with amazing performances the past weeks made her a name to consider. Given the fact that we don’t send similar form of beauty in the Miss Universe competition, a Miss Universe Philippines’ sash is just a few moments away for this gal. Will she make it? Let us all find out tonight. Nevertheless, she’d be best represent the country in the Miss International contest as well.
Dindi Joy Pajares
Completing our Top 6 with a sure crown is Dindi Pajares. She’s fierce and super sexy that we couldn’t get enough of her. A flight attendant who pursues her study to be a pilot, Pajares might just fly really high tonight. This entrepreneur knows her business and one of her biggest ROI might be tonight’s crown.
The other four ladies to be considered are Anjelica Alita, Anjelica Lopez, Angela Fernando, and Jheza Huelar. Then add to the list possible dark horses, and we say it’s a competition. There’s exotic beauty Apriel Smith and yes, the pretty Jennifer Hammond who could just outperform the other early favorites tonight.
The contest is not yet over. The final competition starts tonight. Who are your favorites? Let us know in the comments.
