‘My Bebe Love’ breaks box office records with P60M on opening day

DESPITE BAD REVIEWS, Metro Manila Film Festival entry,’My Bebe Love’ has broken MMFF box office records with over P60 million ticket sales on its opening day.

The Vic Sotto and Aiai delas Alas comedy flick that also features the phenomenal loveteam of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza known as AlDub is competing neck to neck against Vice Ganda and Coco Martin’s ‘Beauty and the Bestie.’ The latter on the other hand features the hit tandem of James Reid and Nadine Lustre known as JaDine.

The gross ticket sales figure was posted by delas Alas on her instagram account, which was later on carried by GMA Network’s official instagram account, @gmanetwork.

As of this posting, MMFF hasn’t released official box office results yet. Rival network ABS-CBN that’s usually first to post about ticket sales in the past is also mum about this.

The instagram post reveals that around P33M of the ticket sales came from the provincial theaters while P27.4M are sold in Metro Manila.

The post came after the controversial ‘ticket swapping‘ issue became a hot topic online on Friday.
