VALENTINA RASOLUVA of Russia was just adjudged winner of Miss Intercontinental 2015, while Philippines’ Christi Lynn McGarry won first runner-up on Saturday (Philippine time), December 19 in Germany.
McGarry’s runner-up placement is still a welcome treat for the Philippines, as it is the highest placement the country achieved in this pageant so far.
McGarry represented the Philippines for the second time around in this pageant. First was when the local franchise was still owned by Mutya ng Pilipinas way back 2010. She was one of the 15 semi-finalists.
It can be recalled that her winning the sash during the Binibining Pilipinas 2015 has become talk of the town until it was clarified that she’s still eligible to compete.
Other winners are Brianne Bailey of USA (second runner-up), Katherine Garcia from Venezuela (third runner-up), and Tendai Bongani from Zimbabwe (fourth runner-up).
This year’s Miss Intercontinental pageant is the start of the so-called three-day holiday for pageant fans all over the world. It will be followed by the coronation night of Miss World pageant on December 20, and the much-anticipated Miss Universe pageant on December 21 (Philippine Time).
